  13. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  14. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  15. 1 tsp sugar
  16. 1/2 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
  17. 1/2 tsp asafoetida
  18. 1/4 tsp baking soda
  19. 2 tbsp finely chopped green coriander leaves
  20. as required Oil
  21. 1 lemon juice
  22. 1.5 cup water
  23. For Tempering :--
  24. 2 tbsp oil
  25. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  26. 10-15 sweet curry leaves
  27. 1 tbsp white sesame seeds

Instructions to make to make Lauki Donut Muthiya (Gujarati Muthiya)

  1. First add pieces of bottle gourd in a mixer jar and prepare a fine paste. Wrap it in a cotton cloth, squeeze out all the water and let it dry.
  2. First of add amall sooji in a large bowl and also add wheat flour and besan and mix all the flour well.
  3. Now add lauki paste, grated onion, grated carrot, ginger paste, salt, chopped green chillies, white sesame, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, sugar, carom seeds,, asafoetida, baking soda and mix it in this flour.
  4. Then add green coriander, 2 tbsp oil, and lemon juice, mix well and make dough without adding water.
  5. Now add 1.5 cup water in the steamer and heat for 10 minutes. Then grease a large dish with oil. Then apply oil on the hands and take a little mixer to shape the mini donut.
  6. Now wrap lid in a steamer with a cloth and steam donut it on a medium gas flame for 20 minutes.
  7. Now heat oi in a pan, then add mustard seeds, sweet curry leaves and sesame seeds to the pan for a Tempering. Then mix the donut in it and roast it evenly for 1 to 2 minutes.
  8. Now this Lauki Mini Donut Muthia is ready to serve. Serve this muthiya with tomato ketchup and lauki juice.
